Making Slides
General Instructions for the use of microscope slides with the PS-150 PocketScope®. Use the menu on your right-hand side.

CAUTION: Handle glass slides and cover glasses only with adult supervision. Glass may break, causing sharp edges that could cause serious cuts.

Place one end of the slide into the slide clip at the end of the Slide Guide™ closest to the PS-150 PocketScope® hinge. Lay a slide, face-up, into the Slide Guide™, then gently push it against the end nearest the hinge until it snaps into place under the retaining clips. Move the Slide Guide™ to center the specimen over the stage aperture. Turn the Lock Lever clockwise to lock the Slide Guide™, opposite to release.

Turn the Focus Wheel to get the clearest image. Move the Slide Guide™ to position the slide. When finished with the slide, rinse it with tap water and then air dry it. If the slide is very dirty, soak it before rinsing.
