Safety Rules
Do's and Don'ts.
 
  • Never look directly at the sun at any time, especially with the microscope or a magnifying lens. It could cause extreme damage your eyes.
  • Do not eat or drink in the experiment area.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water after touching cultures or specimens.
  • Do not taste, eat or drink any of the experiments.
  • Do not allow chemicals to come into contact with the eyes or mouth.
  • Ask an adult before handling any materials, foods or equipment.
  • Read all of these instructions before use, follow them and keep them for reference.
  • Keep all supplies, tools, chemicals, and experiments out of the reach of very young children.
  • Tie back long hair while you work, and avoid wearing clothing that has long, loose sleeves.
  • Keep young children and those not wearing eye protection away from the experiment area.
  • Store microscope sets out of reach of young children.
  • Clean all equipment after use.
  • Tell an adult immediately if you hurt yourself in any way.
